Bella and I scheming towards a big exciting year

Is anyone else shocked it’s February already? It really flew by for me in a blur of great times with friends and family, enjoying the (mostly) summer Melbourne weather. There was a trip to New Zealand for a family wedding, my brothers visiting me in Melbourne, the Australian Open and friends flying in from all over to stay and enjoy a home brew with us.

I feel like I’ve only now had the chance to centre myself, to embrace this new year and all the possibilities it holds. My husband and I have big plans this year – for me, I’m ready to dive right into For Good and give it all I’ve got to create something I’m really proud of. There’ll be plenty of after-hours hustle and hard work, but it’ll all be worth it when I’ve turned this passion project into a full-time gig by the end of the year. It’s a daunting deadline, but I’m super excited and ready to make it happen!

I’m not one to make new year resolutions, but I do think it’s a great time to evaluate where you’re tracking – in all areas of your life. Does your day-to-day align with your values? What small changes can you make so you can be more intentional, leaning more towards your purpose? I discovered this great cause recently, it’s called Slash Purpose. They encourage businesses to create a /purpose page on their website, sharing why they do what they do, and what success looks like to them.

Here is my challenge to you – find a quiet moment, make yourself a cup of tea,
and create your own /purpose page.

It doesn’t matter if you own a business or not, it’s all about putting pen to paper and defining what your purpose currently looks like for you. I found this exercise really powerful and I felt grounded, ready to take on the year after doing it. You can read mine here.

So give it a go, and then share it with the universe – create a page on your own website, write a blog about it or post it on Facebook – and then add it to the comments below, I’d love to hear yours!
